XBasic
XBasic is a comprehensive program development environment that integrates a powerful editor, compiler, debugger, function libraries and GuiDesigner into a seamless working environment that encompasses the whole process of creating fast, efficient, reliable, portable 32/64 bit programs. See XBasic overview.
Compatible and equivalent implementations of XBasic are available for Windows95/98/NT and Linux. XBasic is written entirely XBasic, plus a little assembly language. XBasic is open-source freeware released under the standard GPL and LGPL licenses to assure all enhancements and derivatives remain open-source. You can download the most recent releases below. All are complete and free of time-limits and advertising.
If you are a skilled programmer, writer or web-page designer, please see the XBasic projects page and consider working on a programming or documentation project.
technical
support
All XBasic programmers should join the XBasic mail-list forum at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xbasic to
request and give advice, answers, explanations and samples, form working groups, and
coordinate projects. email conversations help only one person, while conversations
on the forum often help a great many people. For general information about how these
free mail-list forums work, see http://groups.yahoo.com.
XBasic programmers are encouraged to make all well-designed, well-written,
generally-useful programs, libraries, files and data freely available, thereby making
programming easier for all XBasic programmers. Henceforth I
will answer XBasic questions only on the XBasic mail-list forum.
